Mrs. Michelle Schultes
The West Deptford Public Schools are proud to announce that the Outstanding Character Staff Member of the Month for April is Mrs. Michelle Schultes. Mrs. Schultes is our English Second Language professional for the elementary schools. In that position she is responsible for immersing new students from foreign countries into the English language. In recent years we have welcomed an increasing number of foreign born students and Michelle has done a great job exposing these students to English and working with them and their teachers in order to help them succeed. She is very committed to her work and it is reflected in the success of the students. Thank you Mrs. Schultes.

Mrs. Kathy Laughlin
The West Deptford Public Schools are proud to announce that the Outstanding Character Staff Member of the Month for February is Mrs. Kathy Laughlin. Mrs. Laughlin is the nurse at Red Bank Elementary School where she creates an atmosphere where children feel comfortable, safe and welcome. She gives of herself tirelessly through the coordination of holiday dinners, fundraisers, and donations which benefit many families in our community. She has a genuine passion for helping others which we appreciate and thank her for. Congratulations to Mrs. Laughlin.

Mrs. Noreen Mikulski
The West Deptford Public Schools are proud to announce that Mrs. Noreen Mikulski has been named District Character Education Teacher for the Month of March. Mrs. Mikulski is a first grade teacher at Oakview Elementary School. Noreen is an outstanding role model for our students and staff. Noreen’s spirit of volunteerism is exemplary. She is always willing to assist with anything and everything that comes up at Oakview. She is always the first person to say “How can I help?” Noreen is a member of the School Improvement Team and offers her insight and service into issues that face our school. Noreen’s positive spirit and enthusiasm are contagious to all around her.

Mrs. Deborah Park
The West Deptford Public Schools are proud to announce that the Outstanding Character Staff Member of the Month for January is Mrs. Deborah Park. Mrs. Park is the Department Chairperson of the Social Studies Department at the high school and an outstanding educator who teaches psychology, sociology, and Advanced Placement Psychology. During the first semester her Sociology students completed a project commemorating the high school’s upcoming 50th anniversary which will be celebrated next year. This project is indicative of the great work Mrs. Park does every day. We congratulate her on this honor and thank her for all that she does for the students of West Deptford.
