Monday- We will spend some time looking back today to the week before your break. You will review some of the key events of the French Revolution. You will read pages 74-78 in your textbook and do an Alphabet Soup for "REVOLUTION".
Homework: Finish reading assignment and Alphabet Soup.
Tuesday- Today we will discuss the reasons for the rise of Napoleon with an Interactive Lecture. (Follows 78-82 in text book if you are absent)

Friday- We will finish up yesterday's class work with a discussion. We will also focus on the decline of Napoleon. You will complete a Nine Word Challenge on the fall of Napoleon.

Monday- You will begin working on your TIC TAC TOE Choice Board (DUE FRIDAY). We will focus on the causes of the French Revolution by doing an activity called "From the Way I See It".

Tuesday- Today we will watch Part 2 of the French Revolution film. You will understand why the Fall of the Bastille is such a symbolic event in French history.

Monday-In class you will complete a web of ideas on how the Enlightenment spread throughout Europe. It will go with pages 40-49. You will also be given note cards to complete and study for your Enlightenment Test.

Tuesday- Map of Europe is due today. Today we will review for our unit test on the Enlightenment.

Monday- Today you will do a "picture walk" to help you better understand Louis XIV and absolutism. You will also define the terms "absolutism" and "divine right".

Tuesday- Today you will create a web illustrating how Louis XIV maintained power. You will also watch a bit of Marie Antoinette to help you understand the extreme etiquette of the palace.
Wednesday-We will share our webs and then spend some time talking about Peter the Great, another absolute ruler. You will learn about how he tried to modernize Russia.
