Nomination Form

 

Through Renaissance, West Deptford High School aims to increase student performance and teacher enthusiasm.

This program is called the “Spotlight Award” and includes rewarding staff and students.

As a staff member or student, you have the opportunity to nominate either another staff member or student.

 

It is important that you keep a few things in mind when nominating your nominee:

 

1. If your nominee is a student - this is NOT a reflection of students’ grades, please do not let grades factor into your choice.

 

2. Nominate a student or staff member who

  • a. Displays good Character

  • b. Has performed an act of kindness

  • c. Helps create a positive school environment

  • d. Has improved their character or attitude

  • e. Has exceptional School Spirit

  • f. Has helped another person in a significant way

3. It does not have to be a student enrolled in your class; it can be anyone who deserves this award in our building.

 

4. We encourage you to not only nominate students, but also staff, including: administration, aides, secretaries, cafeteria, maintenance.

 

5. The selection committee will select a maximum of FIFTEEN award winners per month.

 

6. NOT EVERY NOMINEE WILL BE SELECTED DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF NOMINATIONS.

 

The Selection Process:

All nominations will be filled out online, the form will be printed out, and the Nominee’s and Nominator’s name will be removed for the Nomination Committee.

 

All nominations are put in a packet and the nominations that the committee finds most deserving are chosen each month.

 

Those not chosen will remain in the packet for the remainder of the year and may be chosen during a later selection.

 

The committee is comprised of Administrators, Teachers, and Students.
